UBP Announces A New Price Increase
As a worldwide scramble for raw materials drives up the cost of steel, UBP is announcing a 10% price increase effective April 1, 2008.
The industry has been facing extreme increases in costs for steel over the last few months. This is a result of the price of iron ore skyrocketing around the world, forcing the steel producers to increase prices to their customers. Additionally, scrap metal prices and prices for other raw materials are also being driven up by world demand led by China as it increases its demand on a daily basis. UBP has seen its price for steel increase 40% in the last two months.
As a result of these increased costs, UBP is announcing another price increase effective April 1.
10% price increase on all products, except for:
• Uni-resi forms - 2%
• Uni-ply wood forms - 5%
